What makes Healthy Planet different from other early years schools?
Healthy Planet is India’s first intergenerational early years school. It combines research-informed practice with a strong focus on relationships, belonging, agency and human flourishing. Children learn through inquiry, play and meaningful real-world experiences.
What age groups and programmes does Healthy Planet offer?
Healthy Planet offers a continuous Early Years journey from 2 to 6 years, with age-specific programmes designed around each stage of development. We also offer a Parent-Child Programme for children below two years.
What is the fee structure?
Fees vary by programme and academic session. Please refer to our Admissions and Fees section for the current fee structure, inclusions and payment schedule.
Which curriculum does Healthy Planet follow?
Our Early Years curriculum is built around the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and enriched by the Healthy Planet Way. Literacy is supported through Jolly Phonics and Jolly English, while Numicon supports the development of early mathematical understanding.
Which schools can my child progress to after Healthy Planet?
Children from Healthy Planet progress to a range of leading schools. Our programme builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, communication, independence, agency and learning dispositions, while our team works closely with families to support a confident transition to the next stage of schooling.
Who are the teachers at Healthy Planet?
Our teachers, known as Learning Mentors, are trained Early Years educators who participate in continuous professional learning through The Learning Lab. They observe, facilitate, question and intentionally support each child’s learning and development.
How do you balance academics and play?
Play is a powerful vehicle for learning in the early years. Literacy, numeracy, inquiry and conceptual understanding are intentionally developed through hands-on, developmentally appropriate experiences.
What is intergenerational learning?
Children regularly learn alongside older adults through thoughtfully designed experiences that build relationships, empathy, communication and a sense of belonging across generations.
How are parents involved in their child’s learning?
Parents are active partners in the learning journey through pedagogy sessions, Family Companions, learning celebrations, conversations with Learning Mentors and community experiences.
What is the teacher-child ratio?
We maintain a 1:6 teacher-child ratio for children aged 2–4 years and a 1:9 ratio for children aged 5–6 years. Small groups allow Learning Mentors to know each child closely, respond to individual needs and encourage growing independence and agency.
Does Healthy Planet have a library?
Yes. Our Library and Imagination Studio is at the heart of the school. Regular access to books, storytelling and read-aloud experiences helps children develop language, imagination and a lifelong love of reading.
What facilities are available for parents?
Healthy Planet is designed as a community for families too. Our café and co-working space allow parents to work, meet or spend time on campus, extending the sense of community beyond the classroom.
Can families visit the school before applying?
Yes. Prospective families are welcome to schedule a school visit through our Admissions Team to experience the environment, meet the team and understand our approach.
How can I apply for admission?
Families can submit an enquiry through our website or contact the school directly. Our Admissions Team will guide you through programme availability, eligibility, fees, school visits and the next steps in the admissions process.
